Paul’s Carpet Care wants to share some tips on making carpets look and feel healthier and happier.   We know everyone is busy but maintain carpet is important and give us a call whenever you need a routine scheduled deep cleaning.  Keeping carpets cleaner will make them last much longer.BeforeAfter

  1. Vacuum at least 1-2 times a week but if you can vacuum those high traffic areas every day.  This is where dirt is tracked in the most.
  2. Use doormats and rugs at entry ways to help keep down dirt and entry ways clean.
  3. Attack spots immediately.  If you leave a spot the liquid will soak deep into the carpet and sometimes into the carpet pad.
  4. Ask your carpet cleaner about a carpet protector that they can apply after a deep cleaning.
  5. Have your carpets cleaned professionally every 6-12 months to ensure they are healthy and it will improve your indoor air.
  6. Take shoes off at entry ways so you do not track in more dirt.
  7. Don’t smoke in the house.  You’d be amazed at how much it damages your carpets and walls.
  8. Use humidifies to improve your air quality.
  9. Try to keep people and kids eating in rooms without carpets.  This will help prevent stains.
  10. The two best cleaning agents are dish detergent and baking soda.  Both get out most stains and help remove odor.
